前    言

Preface

       中國民營經濟國際合作商會創辦《中外民間交流》簡報，其目的是在全球抗擊新冠病毒的背景下，讓國外民間組織和廣大朋友通過這一窗口，更多地了解中國和全球抗擊疫情的一些動態，以及在抗擊疫情中的專家觀點、經驗分享、衛生常識、企業合作和防護物資需求等相關信息，成為中外民間組織交流合作的一個平臺。簡報每周兩期，希望她能夠為大家帶來一些新信息、新情況、新渠道。愿我們通過交流成為好朋友、好伙伴！

       The purpose of "The Brief Report on non government exchanges between China and foreign countries",  which was compiled and printed by China International  Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, is to let foreign non-governmental organizations and friends know more about the trends of China and the world in the fight against the novel coronavirus  through this window, as well as experts' opinions, experience sharing, sense of common health care knowledge,  information on enterprise cooperation and demand for protective materials, to make it becoming a platform for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign non-governmental organization. We hope it can bring you some new information, new situation and new channels. May we become good friends and partners through exchanges!

       China’s COVID-19 epidemic map

       5月7日，中國累計確診84409例，現存確診498例。共有17個省無現存確診病例，昨日新增3例，2例為境外輸入。
       By 7th May, the number of total confirmed cases is 84,409, while existing cases is 498. No existing case in 17 of 34 provinces. 2 of 3 new case were imported cases during last 24h.

       5月7日，全球確診3755379例，死亡263831例。
       By 7th May, global total confirmed increased to 3,755,379 cases. Global total deaths increased to 263,831.

       Global COVID-19 epidemic situation

      （1）全球確診病例突破370萬，死亡人數突破26萬。
       The number of COVID-19 cases surpassed 3,700,000 globally and more than 260,000 people have lost their lives.
      （2）中國外交部5月6日表示，愿與世衛組織一起探尋新冠疫情的來源，但拒絕任何有政治意圖的偽調查。
       The Foreign Ministry said on 6th May that China stands ready to continue close cooperation with the World Health Organization to find the origin of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, but it firmly opposes any political manipulation under the guise of an investigation of its origin.
      （3）5月6日，世衛組織警告應謹慎解除隔離，避免產生再次封城的危險。
       WHO warned on 6th May that the risk of returning to lockdown is very real if countries emerging from pandemic restrictions do not move extremely carefully.

      （1）5月4日，國務院金融穩定發展委員會召開會議，明確提出國家應關注國際大宗商品價格波動造成的金融產品風險，保障投資者利益。
       At a conference on 4th May, the financial stability and development committee under the State Council, China's Cabinet, pointed out that the country should seriously look into the risks of some financial products caused by price fluctuations in the international commodity market, raise risk awareness and strengthen risk control in a bid to protect the legitimate interests of investors.
      （2）5月6日，中央政治局常委會召開會議，強調將進一步改革疾病防控系統，提高對重大疫情和薄弱地區的早期監控和預警能力。
       A key Party meeting on 6th May stressed the need to reform China's disease prevention and control system and bolster its monitoring and early warning capacities for outbreaks in a bid to close the gaps and strengthen weak areas exposed in the COVID-19 pandemic.
      （3）海關總署5月7日公布的數據顯示，中國前四個月的外貿總額下降4.9%。
       China's foreign trade volume totaled 9.07 trillion yuan ($1.28 trillion) in the first four months of this year, declining 4.9 percent year-on-year, data released by the General Administration of Customs showed on 7th May.

      （1）5月6日，美國總統特朗普宣稱白宮疫情領導小組將把重心轉移至恢復美國經濟和社會生活以及研制疫苗和療法方向。
       US President Donald Trump said 6th May that the White House Coronavirus Task Force won't be shutting down after all but will shift its focus to reviving US businesses and social life and developing vaccines and therapeutics.
      （2）4月30日召開的金磚國家外交部長會議提出要加強合作，共同抗擊新冠疫情。
       Holding on 30th April, the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Extraordinary Conference on COVID-19 is important for BRICS members to enhance cooperation and trust in order to fight the pandemic, and the organization should take effective measures to improve public health cooperation, analysts said.

       5月6日，李克強在國務院會議上提出中國將推出一系列政策穩就業、保民生。
       China will intensify policy support to keep employment stable and safeguard people's livelihoods, the State Council's executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Keqiang decided on 6th May.

       2018年諾貝爾獎得主、日本京都大學學者本庶佑認為，宣稱中國制造新冠病毒的謠言是在混淆視聽，各國應攜手共同應對疫情。
       Tasuku Honjo, who won the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, has refuted claims that China manufactured the novel coronavirus, saying those rumors are "dangerously distracting." 
       美國頂級流行病專家福奇駁斥了新冠病毒由中國實驗室人為制造或是泄露的陰謀論。
       Anthony Fauci, the United States' top infectious disease expert and a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has dismissed theories that the coronavirus was either manufactured or accidentally released from a Chinese laboratory.

       China private enterprises are taking action!

       從5月6日開始，中國生物技術有限公司BGI集團在塞爾維亞的實驗室平均每天會為貝爾格萊德市民進行2千次新冠樣本檢測。
       此舉將塞爾維亞的日檢測能力提高了50%，有助于大幅削弱病毒的傳播能力，為更進一步的接觸隔離和重啟經濟提供了重要保障。
       As Serbia expands its COVID-19 testing to better trace and contain the coronavirus, Chinese technology is giving a helping hand with state-of-the-art equipment.
       The new Fire Eye lab in Belgrade, the brainchild of Chinese biotech company BGI Group, has been receiving more than 2,000 samples per day since 6th May.
       By enabling Serbia to significantly boost the daily testing capacity to around 6,000 samples from last week's average, the lab helps authorities realize that the spread of the virus has been weakening, allowing it to decide on the gradual relaxation of strict measures and reopening of the economy.

      ・ Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, made instructions on epidemic response when presiding over a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
      ・ The China CDC succeeded in isolating the first novel coronavirus strain.

      ・ Heads of China and U.S. CDCs talked over phone to discuss technological exchanges and cooperation.

      ・ 衛健委的專家組公布了病原體，認為一種新型的冠狀病毒是這次武漢肺炎的罪魁禍首。
      ・ 中國向世衛組織通報了疫情，分享了武漢肺炎疫情的最初進展。
      ・ 世衛組織在其官網上發布了武漢肺炎疫情的聲明，表示一種新型冠狀病毒在短時間內造成了嚴重后果。
      ・ An expert team from the NHC made public of the pathogen, saying a new type of coronavirus was initially identified as the cause of the viral pneumonia in Wuhan.
      ・ China informed the WHO about the epidemic, sharing with the WHO the initial progress in determining the cause of the viral pneumonia in Wuhan.
      ・ The WHO released on its website a statement regarding a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan, saying that preliminary identification of a novel coronavirus in a short period of time is a notable achievement.
