Preface

       中國民營經濟國際合作商會創辦《中外民間交流》簡報，其目的是在全球抗擊新冠病毒的背景下，讓國外民間組織和廣大朋友通過這一窗口，更多地了解中國和全球抗擊疫情的一些動態，以及在抗擊疫情中的專家觀點、經驗分享、衛生常識、企業合作和防護物資需求等相關信息，成為中外民間組織交流合作的一個平臺。簡報每周兩期，希望她能夠為大家帶來一些新信息、新情況、新渠道。愿我們通過交流成為好朋友、好伙伴！

       The purpose of "The Brief Report on non government exchanges between China and foreign countries ",  which was compiled and printed by China International  Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, is to let foreign non-governmental organizations and friends know more about the trends of China and the world in the fight against the novel coronavirus  through this window, as well as experts' opinions, experience sharing, sense of common health care knowledge,  information on enterprise cooperation and demand for protective materials, to make it becoming a platform for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign non-governmental organization. We hope it can bring you some new information, new situation and new channels. May we become good friends and partners through exchanges!

       China’s COVID-19 epidemic map

       4月13日，中國累計確診83135例，現存確診2101例。共有7個省無現存確診病例，昨日新增115例，98例為境外輸入。
       By 13th April, the number of total confirmed cases is 83,135, while existing case is 2101. No existing case in 7 of 34 provinces. 98 of 115 new case were imported case during last 24h.

       By 13th April, global total confirmed increased to 1,850,527 cases. Global total deaths increased to 114,245.

       Global COVID-19 epidemic situation

      （1）全球確診病例突破180萬，死亡人數突破11萬。
       The number of COVID-19 cases surpassed 1,800,000 globally and more than 110,000 people have lost their lives.
      （2）包括聯合國秘書長古鐵雷斯在內的數位政界領袖表態支持世衛組織，并呼吁加強世衛組織在協調抗擊新冠疫情斗爭中的國際地位。
       Many global leaders, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres , French President Emmanuel Macron and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Mahamat, have expressed their support for the WHO’s work and called for strengthening the role of the World Health Organization in synchronizing international efforts to address the global public health crisis. 
      （3）4月11日，美國超過意大利，成為第一個死亡人數突破2萬的國家。 
       On 11th April, The US death toll from the coronavirus eclipsed Italy's for the highest in the world, surpassing 20,000.

       Chinese Economic Development

      （1）三月份，中國鋼鐵產量和庫存整體回落，經濟正在穩步復蘇。
       China's steel output and inventory both fell in March, according to data from the China Iron and Steel Association. The daily production of raw iron, crude steel and rolled steel reached 1.82 million tons, 1.7 million tons and 1.77 million tons on average last month, down 2.1 percent, 3.1 percent and 1.7 percent from February, respectively. Partly due to the recovery of economic activities as the novel coronavirus epidemic has been largely curbed domestically, the country's steel inventory dropped slightly in March.
      （2）由于工廠復工等因素影響，三月份中國經濟活動數據表現良好，但仍需注意防控風險。
       China's macroeconomic indicators are expected to improve as its economy reopens with downward risks remaining to be tamed, according to economists.
       The Chinese economic activity data for March is expected to improve as factories reopened and some workers returned to cities to work after the extended break caused by COVID-19, said a research note by Katrina Ell, an economist with Moody's Analytics, on 9th April.
      （3）在疫情下發展起來的中國電商經濟正在幫助國家經濟實現快速轉型升級。
       Developments in the digital economy arising from China's anti-coronavirus fight are set to accelerate the country's economic transformation and upgrading beyond the epidemic, according to analysts.

      （1）4月12日，以俄羅斯為首的石油輸出國組織及其盟國與包括美國在內的其他石油國家達成了一項前所未有的協議，同意以創紀錄的減產來支撐油價，以應對冠狀病毒的蔓延。該協議可能會使全球石油供應減少20%。
       On 12th April, OPEC and allies led by Russia agreed on Sunday to a record cut in output to prop up oil prices amid the coronavirus pandemic in an unprecedented deal with fellow oil nations, including the United States, that could curb global oil supply by 20%.
      （2）英國12日承諾將向世界衛生組織(WHO)和慈善組織提供2億英鎊資金，幫助減緩新冠病毒在貧弱國家蔓延，以阻止第二波疫情擴散。
       Britain said on 12th April it was pledging 200 million pounds to the World Health Organization (WHO) and charities to help slow the spread of the coronavirus in vulnerable countries and so help prevent a second wave of infections.
      （3）4月12日，世界銀行預測由于新冠病毒的爆發，印度和其他南亞國家今年可能會創下四十年來最差的增長記錄。
       World Bank forecasts that India and other South Asian countries are likely to record their worst growth performance in four decades this year due to the coronavirus outbreak, the World Bank said on 12th April.

       近日召開的國務院常務會議指出，我國將增設46個跨境電子商務綜合試驗區，采取新措施支持加工貿易，并在網上舉辦廣交會，積極應對疫情影響，努力穩住外貿外資基本盤。
       China will set up 46 new integrated pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce, as well as support processing trade with new steps and hold the Canton Fair online to keep foreign trade and investment stable amid the epidemic, according to the State Council's executive meeting.

       4月8日，國際知名的學術期刊《美國科學院院報》發表文章認為，武漢流行的病毒并非原始病毒，而有些曾在武漢生活過的美國人被發現攜帶原始病毒基因組。
       On 8th April, the journal PNAS published a paper by a team of British and German researchers. According to the article, the spreading virus in Wuhan is not the ancestral virus which carried by some American who once lived in Wuhan.

       China private enterprises are taking action!

       英國中國商會4月9日向倫敦捐贈20臺呼吸機和包括口罩、醫用防護服、護目鏡等在內的186萬件抗疫物資。物資包括72.2萬件手術口罩、10萬件N95口罩、1.9萬件醫療外衣、1.9萬副護目鏡以及1百萬雙醫用手套，共計65噸。
       該批物資由英國中國商會會員單位中國銀行捐贈，主要捐往抗疫一線的英國國民醫療服務體系醫院、護理機構及在英留學生、華人華僑和當地社團等。
       On 9th April, a donation of 20 invasive ventilators and 1.86 million pieces of personal protective equipment, or PPE, will be delivered to the United Kingdom for distribution, as the nation battles the COVID-19 pandemic.
       Donated by China Chamber of Commerce (CCCUK) member, the Bank of China, the ventilators already arrived in London on Monday, and 65 metric tons of PPE are now at Shanghai Pudong Airport ready for transfer. They will be received by Lord Mayor's Appeal, or LMA, the official charity of City of London.
       The equipment includes 722,000 surgical masks, 100,000 N95 masks, 19,000 surgical gowns, 19,000 goggles, and one million pairs of medical latex gloves.

       4、國家：目前張教授最擔心的疫情國家分別是：印度、南美以及非洲，主要是這些國家醫療條件相對落后，飲食營養較差。
       4. Country: Professor Zhang is worrying about are India, South America and Africa, mainly because of their relatively backward medical conditions and poor nutrition.
       5、預防：1）洗手時最關鍵的，一定要瘋狂洗手；2）保持充足的睡覺，不要熬夜；3）與人交流，即便戴口罩仍然要保持安全距離，切記不能湊到一起交談。
       5. Prevention: 1) when washing hands, the most important thing is to wash hands crazily; 2) keep enough sleep, do not stay up late; 3) when speak to people, keep a safe distance even if wearing masks, remember do not keep close to each other.
       6、癥狀：1）發燒、咳嗽不完全是新冠重癥表現，如果在國外醫療資源緊缺地區，可先自行隔離恢復，避免去醫院可能導致交叉感染；2）但是以下情況，需要額外注意：如果發現自己爬樓梯，從一樓到三樓有明顯氣喘、無力跡象或者平地行走200米有明顯氣喘、胸悶跡象，應及時去醫院檢查，不能大意。
       6. Symptoms: 1) fever and cough are not completely the symptoms of the Covid-19. If you are in a foreign countries lack of medicine, you can first isolate yourself and recover instead of going to the hospital to avoid cross infection; 2) however, you need to pay extra attention to the following situations: if you find yourself obvious signs of asthma when climbing stairs from the first floor to the third floor, or there are obvious signs of asthma and chest tightness when you walk 200m on the ground, you should go get check yourself in a hospital without carelessness.
